Matt Sirrine's career in music began 15 years ago with his parent's purchase of an electric guitar for a Christmas gift. A Peavey Predator to be exact. Along with a small practice amp, he began teaching himself songs by Green Day, 311, AC/DC and many others. After a few years Matt began jamming with some high school friends and they formed a band called Trybe. They played shows around the Mid-Michigan and Detroit, MI areas until the band disbanded as various members left town for college.
Matt continued to play guitar, honing his skills while studying at Michigan State University and Central Michigan University. Finally after deciding that a career in the music industry was the only route to take in his life, Matt packed all his belongings and moved to Orlando, FL to attend Full Sail University. Matt graduated in the top 3% of his class with an Associate of Science Degree in Recording Arts and Pro Tools Certification for Music and Post Production work.
Almost immediately after graduating from Full Sail, Matt packed everything once again and moved to Los Angeles, CA. Within a short period of time Matt was interning at a major studio, sitting in on recording sessions with major label clients and soaking in as much information as possible from other producers and engineers. Matt interned with producer Mudrock (Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold) for a short time, learning invaluable recording tips and techniques. After some time Matt began assisting on sessions and taking on some clients of his own. It was at this first studio job that Matt began engineering for Petey Pablo and Death Row Records at Track Record Studios in North Hollywood.
After a couple of years working behind the scenes Matt got the itch to play in front of crowds once again. Playing in a couple different bands in Los Angeles got him on stage at The Viper Room and The Roxy Theater on the Sunset Strip, among a few other L.A. venues.
Currently Matt is writing, producing and recording for an up and coming pop vocalist.
